Is Now The Time to Put Your Health First?

March is exciting for me as it’s the anniversary of when I started my business, and it’s prompted me to take stock of where I am now and what I have achieved as a Nutritional Therapist.  It’s also a time for me to reflect on the things that aren’t working for me (hello working all weekend!) and what support I need to make the necessary changes to bring things back into balance.

It’s also got me thinking about why we only take stock of our lives once a year (whether it’s in March like me, or as part of the dreaded New Year resolutions!)?  Instead shouldn’t we be regularly checking in with our health and wellbeing?

When we step up and take care of ourselves, it doesn’t just impact us, it affects everyone around us too. We all want to experience full and meaningful lives, but this can become challenging when we are plagued by low energy and annoying health symptoms.

If a symptom doesn’t make us take to our beds, we often do nothing about it, putting up with the discomfort and placing our health needs at the bottom of our to-do list, until the dysfunction that led to the symptom occurring in the first place becomes something more urgent.

Instead of pushing these annoying symptoms to the back of our minds, we should understand that our bodies are insightful barometers, offering daily feedback on the dietary and lifestyle choices we make.  And if something is out of balance then we need to find ways to address it.

So I finish with this last question, “is now the time to put your health first?”
