ABOUT ME

Amber Cotton: Registered Nutritionist + Weight Loss Health Coach, Salisbury/Wiltshire/Dorset

I’m Amber

As a peri-menopausal mother of teens like many women I was plagued with weight gain that seemed to come out of nowhere, fatigue so bad that some days it felt like I was walking through treacle, and a host of other annoying perimenopausal symptoms such as dry eyes and brain fog. Whilst I regularly told myself that none of my symptoms were ‘that bad’ the truth is, at times they’ve made life tricky, and it felt like a real effort to get through the day.

I’ve always had an interest in eating well and how food is the foundation of good health, but it was only when my my perimenopause symptoms collided with two hormonal teenagers did I decide that I really needed to learn more about how to support both my own health and theirs. And so I enrolled in the Nutritional Therapy Diploma at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition and embarked on a 4-year course that would give me the answers I needed to my own health issues, and ignited a desire in me to help other women who were experiencing the same health issues as me.

Since qualifying I have worked with a wide range of clients, but I have a keen interest in supporting women like you to optimise your health, particularly focusing on energy and weight-loss issues. I am passionate about helping women to feel energised, confident and vibrant. I use the Functional Medicine model to support you holistically, and I have a food-first philosophy which means I won’t recommend supplements unless I think they are absolutely necessary. I am here to provide you with support and accountability throughout your journey towards better health.
